Championing the voice of the customer in Design and Innovation

intro

ABOUT ME

I am a champion for the voice of the customer.

I stand at the crossroad between marketing, research and design -- seeing success through innovative problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and understanding different points-of-view. Ultimately my goal is to help businesses serve their users more effectively by listening to their voices in everyday products & services, as well as at home, at work, and in those treasured third spaces.

From design to marketing, research and beyond - here are a few stories from my professional adventures.

Finding purpose in work takes more than just passion and commitment; it also requires the right attitude.

My philosophy is built on four essential core values: empathy, playfulness, unconventionality and simplicity. Together they help me approach every challenge with a level of clarity and creativity that leads to remarkable results.

PRINCIPLES

Why settle for the same-old, when we can explore a world of never-befores?

Embracing the offbeat, irregular, and unique doesn't just make things interesting, it expands our understanding of what we know. It makes space for new insights, opportunities, and inspiration. In business, allowing permission for divergent thinking is the key to unlocking innovative solutions that can give a competitive advantage.

Embrace the Unconventional

It's no accident that most Design Thinking models start with "Empathize.

Creating truly remarkable products requires more than understanding users. It also means tapping into a broader perspective that considers what everyone involved in the process needs to be successful - from builders and deliverers, right through to servicers. This holistic approach achieves true impacts on customers and society!

Empathy for Everyone, Everywhere

Reap the rewards of less is more.

"Keep it Simple Stupid" (KISS) and "Explain it like I'm five" (ELI5) remind us that complex concepts don't have to be complicated. By synthesizing complex user research or effectively using white space on a digital interface, we can find and deliver simple solutions with maximum impact.

Mastery in Simplicity

Play is a powerful catalyst for sparking creativity and innovation. It is ingrained in the discovery, design and delivery of experiences that delight and excite. Through Improv, I've experienced first-hand how play enables the nimble thinking that unleashes new ideas: it's all about taking risks, making mistakes, and not being afraid to fail.
